Snaps the prompter window directly into the MacBook camera notch, placing your script at perfect eye level. Maintain natural eye contact without moving your gaze away from the lens.

Floating Mode

A draggable, resizable window that works on any Mac — including external monitors. Resize it into a narrow sliver or a wide reading block and place it anywhere.

Mirror Text

Flips the prompter horizontally so text reads correctly through a physical beam-splitter glass. Enable it in Settings → Prompter. The stats pill mirrors independently so it stays legible inside the rig.

Constant-Speed Scrolling

Set your own words-per-minute pace — anywhere from 50 to 300 WPM, in Settings or straight from the editor — and the script rolls at a constant speed from start to finish. The classic teleprompter autoscroll, free for everyone on scripts of any length.

Mid-Session Pace Control

Running hot or falling behind? ⌘↑ and ⌘↓ nudge the scroll speed up or down mid-take without opening a menu or reaching for the trackpad. Free for everyone.

Voice-Activated Scrolling

Uses on-device Apple speech recognition to scroll as you speak and pause when you stop. No cloud, no latency. Unlimited with Pro, and the free plan includes 3 full-Pro sessions a week to use it on a real take.

Adaptive Speed

Setting a speed is free — Adaptive Speed is what makes it unnecessary. Click-Through

Clicks land on the app behind the prompter, so you can advance your slides or run your video call while the script stays where it is. Scrolling over the prompter still moves your script. Works in both Notch and Floating modes.

While it's on, the prompter takes no mouse of its own — hover controls and resize handles stay hidden until you switch it off.

Script Markers

Drop structural checkpoints anywhere in your script. They build a live sidebar table of contents so you can jump to any section instantly.

Focus Guide

Automatically dims text you've already read, leaving the active line bright. Your eyes snap back to the right word instantly after glancing away.

Hide Controls

AI Agent Access (MCP)

Ask Claude, Cursor, or Codex for a first draft, a tighter opening, or pacing cues, and the change lands in your Avocado library as you talk. One click installs the Claude Desktop connector; other agents take a single pasted command. The server runs at 127.0.0.1, so it stays on your Mac. Opt in to sharing session history and your assistant can size a script to the pace you actually speak at.

Drag & Drop Import

Drop a .pptx, .txt, or .md file anywhere in the editor window and it becomes a script. PowerPoint arrives as your presenter notes, each slide prepended with a Script Marker for sidebar navigation. Text dragged straight from another app lands the same way, and several files at once become one script each.

Director Controls

Follow the Script

The director's page shows the script scrolling in real time, marked at the line the presenter is reading right now — so you can call a cue a beat before it lands instead of watching over their shoulder.

Director Talkback

Send a message that appears over the prompter mid-take — “slow down”, “wrap up”, “look at camera”, or anything you type. It shows on the Mac and on every connected Teleprompter Viewer, so it reaches the presenter on whichever screen they’re actually reading.

Teleprompter Viewer

Director Mode serves a second page (/viewer) that turns any device on the same Wi-Fi into a standalone teleprompter display — no app install required. Works on iOS, Android, Windows, and Mac. Font size, colors, alignment, and smart cue markers stay in sync in real time.

Script Tags

Add tags to any script for instant organization. A collapsible filter strip in the sidebar lets you drill down to a tag with one tap, and an inline editor lets you rename or remove tags without leaving the list.

Script Search

Full-text search across every script title and body. Results show a content snippet centered on the matching keyword so you can identify the right script at a glance — no need to open each one.
