Start a take from any script and the prompter runs while your camera records. Takes are grouped by script and numbered, so the one you want is always easy to find.

While you record, Avocado's windows step aside and your camera sits in a preview just under the prompter, close to the lens. Move it and resize it, and it opens where you left it next time.

Once the prompter reaches the last line and you pause, the take ends by itself and opens ready to trim. ⌘R stops it any time, and ⌥⌘R starts it again from the top.

One click removes the dead air at the start and end of a take, and another tightens the long pauses in the middle, straight from the waveform.

Split a take at the playhead or select a range and delete it. Edits are kept beside the take, and the original recording is never touched.
