Rename a script straight from the sidebar — right-click any script in the list and rename it in place, without opening it first. Session history now groups your runs by date, and session reports have proper entry points from the editor so your delivery stats are easy to find.
Sidebar rows now show the opening line of each script next to a relative date, so scripts with similar names are easy to tell apart at a glance. The editor toolbar is down to four essentials and the prompter launch buttons are clearly labeled. The info bar reads better too: controls are visually distinct from your script stats, every chip is clickable across its full area, and external displays are named by position instead of cryptic model codes. Choosing which screen the prompter opens on now sits alongside your other run settings, and Settings explains when Follow Mouse overrides that choice. The editor header is cleaner, and app updates are more reliable.
Changing audio devices mid-session — plugging in headphones or connecting a Bluetooth headset — no longer interrupts your session. The last-run chip now only ever shows the current script's own history instead of falling back to an unrelated script's. Session history no longer records runs that were never really deliveries. Also fixed a rare stability issue.
July 23, 2026
Prompter scrolling is now smoother and more responsive, especially during longer recording sessions. The issue was sometimes noticed when you use adaptive speed and the editor window was open.

Progress bar positioning and notch visuals have been refined for a cleaner, more seamless appearance. Prompter previews and onboarding visuals now better match your screen for a more realistic first-run experience. Added a dedicated Debug section in Settings for easier troubleshooting.

Tap a locked Pro control like Custom Speed or Mouse Scroll and you can now start a free Pro Pass session right on the spot — you get three passes every week, no card required.

July 9, 2026
Weekly Pro Passes give everyone a taste of Pro — free users now get 3 passes every week, and each one makes a full session Pro: voice scrolling on any script length plus the complete delivery report, no card required. Passes are smart about when they're needed, so short scripts never use one up.
Introducing on-device Delivery Coaching (macOS 26 and later): every session can now include private coaching insights that spot filler words, long pauses, and pace consistency — computed entirely on your Mac, storing only the counts and never your words, with a toggle in Settings if you'd rather turn it off. Closed the prompter partway through a script? A new one-tap Resume chip appears on your next run and jumps you right back to where you left off. Free users also get a live preview of their session history with real data, plus a pace trend strip on the post-session report.
Resume your script where you left. Every time you accidentally closed the script, now you can pick it up exactly where you left.
The editor's bottom bar got a major declutter — scrolling speed, mode, and mouse controls now live in one tidy panel, Smart Cues moved up into the toolbar next to the markers sidebar it fills, and your plan status sits in a single compact pill. Also simplified license activation so entering a key in Settings is easier to find.

April 25, 2026
Smart cue markers ([pause], [breathe], [smile], [long pause]) now correctly render with their highlight colors in the Mac prompter. A stale "cheap path" color update was overwriting annotation tints on every render.
Toggling "Show Smart Cues as Symbols" in Settings now immediately updates the prompter display without requiring a script change.
[long pause] no longer corrupts to "[long ⏸ ]" when Smart Cue symbols are enabled — markers are now replaced longest-first so shorter overlapping markers don't match inside longer ones.
April 25, 2026
Teleprompter Viewer: Director Mode now serves a second page (/viewer) that turns any phone or tablet on the same Wi-Fi into a real-time teleprompter display — no app install required. Font size, colors, text alignment, and smart cue markers stay in sync with the Mac.
Mirror Text (Settings → Prompter): Flips the prompter horizontally so text reads correctly through a physical beam-splitter glass. The stats pill mirrors too so it stays legible inside the rig.
Director Mode settings now shows two QR codes side by side — one for the Director control panel, one for the new Teleprompter Viewer.
Director Mode server now returns a proper 404 for unknown paths instead of silently serving the Director HTML.
The advertised local IP now skips VPN tunnels, AWDL, bridge, and IPsec interfaces so Director and Viewer QR codes always point to a reachable LAN address.
April 17, 2026
Director Mode (Pro): Let a producer control the teleprompter from any phone, tablet, or laptop on the same Wi-Fi — no app download required. Play, pause, scrub position, adjust speed, and jump between cue markers in real time. Up to 5 simultaneous connections. Purely local network, no internet required.

Interactive speed and scroll mode controls in the editor bottom bar — switch between manual and adaptive speed, and toggle mouse scroll without opening Settings.
Adaptive speed now reacts faster when your pace slows down and stays conservative when speeding up, preventing the prompter from running ahead of you.

Cue point navigation shortcut (⌘⇧C) now works correctly in Floating mode.
