Avocado puts your words directly under the camera, scrolls them as you speak, and stays out of every recording and screen share. Everything runs on your Mac — no account, no cloud, no upload. Here's what's happening underneath.
Your script goes where your eyes already are.
Reading off to the side registers as distraction, even when the words are good. Avocado sits at the top of the screen, tight to the lens, so your gaze lands on the camera.
It moves when you speak. It waits when you stop.
No operator, no foot pedal, no guessing at a scroll speed you'll outrun by the third paragraph.
Nobody else can see it.
Avocado never shows up in a screen share, a recording, or a screenshot. Not dimmed, not tucked into a corner — genuinely not there. Share your whole desktop on Zoom, Teams, Meet or OBS and stop thinking about it.
Nothing you say leaves your Mac.
Your scripts stay on your machine and your voice is never sent anywhere — there is no account and no server to send it to. It also means no lag waiting on a connection, and it works just as well with the Wi-Fi switched off.
Never lose your place.
Reading on camera goes wrong in the gaps — you glance away, look back, and can't find the line. These are the three things that stop that happening.
When you're not the only one in the room.
A local web server, a one-time token, and any browser on the same Wi-Fi. Nothing to install on the other end, and no traffic leaving your network.
The take ends. The feedback doesn't.
Every session closes with a receipt — your pace, how much of the script you got through, and where you sped up or stalled. Run the same script again and Avocado shows you the difference run over run.
